On the ground at the “visitor’s center”.  Really a warming hut and restroom. Still at -38C wind chill these seemed like luxury.  And we were visiting in almost perfect weather.

    The following is a panorama toward the pole and the station.  The true pole is to the left. The flags mark the ceremonial pole.  The station is in the background.  The visitor buildings are in the foreground.

              Here is a closer look at the pole markers.  The American flag to the extreme left marks the 1/1/14 pole location.  A line of red flags mark how the pole has drifted.  Finally the dense flags is the ceremonial pole where the photo opts are
