Our final stop in Peru was to its highest major city - Cuzco. We had been briefly in Cuzco a couple of days before as that is where we landed from Lima. Now was the time to explore the city.
We enjoyed the city quite a lot. Our hotel is located in the old city close to the main square. We visited the chocolate museum. The first night we eat at Inka Grill. The second night we eat at the Japanese restaurant Limo.
Gentle Reader There is much written about the need for high altitude drugs when visiting Cuzco. Take this advice seriously. Several on our trip were hospitalized. While neither Carrie nor I had any effects we were both taking meds.
This was an Inca religious site that was also the subject of one of the last major battles.
The next day we did a walking tour of the city.
