On board the Ilyushin the passengers sat in front with cargo in the rear. There was no “window” seat since, as a cargo plane, the cabin had no need for windows.

One of the features of the Ilyushin was a HD TV screen in the front of the plane displaying a camera mounted under the cockpit. The departure from Chile was great. Our plane slowly gaining altitude. But then we were over the ocean with nothing to look at but clouds. Despite being 10 PM or so the sun was still up, but setting at this latitude. But as we moved farther south the sun kept missing the surface of the earth and it stayed light.
